Christmas with Wonder Bears

Wonder Bears have three more events before Christmas, Broke Hall Primary School fair 3rd Dec, Each fair at Kesgrave Scout Hall Sunday 4th Dec 11-2 and Sat 10th dec also at Kesgrave Scout hall 2-5pm. So many children will have a new bear, monkey, rabbit or lion to make on Christmas morning, and it is lovely to think of the fluff flying round amongst the wrapping paper!

Some Wonder Bears will be getting a new outfit to wear after Christmas too.

Attending fairs, and meeting people has been delightful this year, and helped promote our birthday parties. However, with more parties being booked at weekends, it is unlikely we will attend many fairs next year. Hopefully we will have regular workshops at The Tea Hut in Woodbridge to come and make a bear, otherwise it will be mostly providing kits available from our internet shop www.wonderbears.co.uk

Pleas like our facebook page, and send in any bear photos you have (promises promises!) it would be lovely to see them.

In the meantime, enjoy your Christmas shopping - and don't forget a present for Wonder Bear!

Children's Parties Suffolk

Wonder Bears has booked at lots of Christmas fairs in the Ipswich area. Don't forget to buy fantastic bear outfits for Christmas presents (also available on www.wonderbears.co.uk)

The best thing about a Wonder Bear party has to be that there is no need to buy extra party bags. Children take home a high quality soft toy, whether a koala, monkey, dog or hippo. they will remember the party where they made it for a lot longer than a bag of plastic yo-yo's, crayons and sweets!

Parties are also available at The Tea Hut in Woodbridge. They provide an excellent hot or cold party tea after the bear making, for further details please see here -

Busy times

Wonder Bears have been to many fairs over the Summer, and lots of new bears have been made by their new owners. We've had children from Scotland on holiday in Suffolk, probably our furthest travelled Wonder Bears so far!

Wonder Bear got over his slight fear of heights to have outdoor fun on a zipwire this Summer, more pictures of his holidays to follow!

Wonder Bears will be at Camille's appeal day Sunday 21st August at Suffolk Food Hall, then at an EACH funday on Sun 28th August at St Clements...then time for the Christmas fairs to start!!

Wonder Bears can party - whatever the weather!

Rain doesn't stop play for a Wonder Bears party!

One option is for the children to decorate their carry home bags on arrival; white t-shirts are also available to decorate for the Wonder Bears. Games include 'musical bears' and 'pass the wonder bear', variations of the traditional party games. All parties are different and tailored to the bithday child and the venue. The best bit surely has to be the wonderful party bags. Click on the Wonder Bears facebook page via www.wonderbears.co.uk to see other party photos and feedback from happy children and parents!

If you 'like' our facebook page you can find out how to find us at events in East Anglia to come and build a Wonder Bear, or find a stylish bear outfit!

Well Wonder Bear has been busy at Martlesham Music on the Green, Martlesham Playgroup funday and the Police Families day. Children have made bears to take home, some have taken the kits away for a present and some have just bought extra outfits for their bears they have at home.

Wonder Bear had fun on rides and looking at the police cars.
If you want to build a bear come to Broke Hall Summer Fair in Ipswich on Sat 16th July, Easton Farm Park Teddy Bears Picnic on 10th August, or St Clements Fun Day in aid of EACH on August 28th. Follow our facebook page to keep in touch with new dates - click through http://www.wonderbears.co.uk/

Dressing up fun!

When a big box of clothes arrived for little bears yesterday, I had a very willing helper to try the outfits out for me. Wonder Boy didn't even mind trying the wedding dress on his very male teddy! He is four years old and managed to dress and undress his bear easily, most fastenings are velcro or elastic to make it easier for little fingers. If only he were as enthusiastic about getting himself dressed every morning!

Outfits will be available for £8.50 through http://www.wonderbears.co.uk/

What we do for our children...

Well Wonder Bear is away for a few days having his photo taken for the new Wonder bears website coming soon.
When discussing Wonder bears with other mums it is interesting to hear tales of children's birthday parties. My own daughter's first invitation to the local soft play centre was a real eye opener for me; and I thought I had seen it all after being a teacher for several years!
After saying hello to the birthday child, all the children vanished into the play area, separately, and didn't come together again until the voice on the microphone announced it was time for tea. I had hoped my daughter would have a lovely chance to get to know her school friends in a relaxed setting. After an 'orange tea' (my favourite description on a busy day, makes fish fingers, chips and beans sound positively nutritious) the children vanished again until home time.
I really hope 'Wonder bears' parties will be remembered and talked about at school afterwards with shared memories and experiences. A birthday party is just the beginning of the journey through various events in a child's life requiring social skills; taking turns, manners, talking and laughing together, making new friends.

Another mum mentioned spending £70 on party bags once - they truly are a bottomless pit. A wonder bear surely beats a bag of plastic bits that usually get lost in the car on the way home.....

A Wonderful Royal Street Party!

Wonder Bear enjoyed his first street party for the Royal Wedding. Hopefully there will be another one next year for the Golden Jubilee.
Face painting, bunting, BBQ and ice creams made it a popular day for children, adults and bears alike.
All parties are good - especially if it is a Wonderbears one!

Wonder Bear visits London

Wonder Bear visited Buckingham Palace just one week before Kate Middleton's wedding to Prince William. Already all the press tents were up in place ready to film the newly wed couple on the balcony.
Wonder Bear did wonder (well he would, wouldn't he!) if Kate and Prince Wills had thought of anything to entertain the children during the speeches. Making their very own Wonder Bear would keep children busy while the growns ups listened to the speeches in peace, and they would have a lovely keepsake from the big day.

For more information about having Wonder Bears visit your wedding, see http://www.wonderbears.co.uk/.
